The
names listed below are in cursive on the
back, pencil on gray card, and are therefore difficult to read, the *
indicating names that are
illegable or missing. The 1920 and 1930 Census Records were used to
find
Date of
Birth and
Residence
and although a name and city is not a lot to go on the proximity of the
addresses is reassuring. Unfortunetly the census takers only recorded
those
present at the time of visitation so if a child was out playing down
the street they were not recorded.
I suspect that the "ME" who recorded the names was female judging from
the quality of the handwriting and the discipline required of creating
the record itself. The occasion was probably a birthday party and so
the most likely candidate is one of the two young ladies with the giant
bow in her hair.
Its a beautiful photograph and I sincerely hope some grandchild may
stumble upon it. Click on it for a larger version.
